白铁软管：白铁材料制作的软管产品，“白铁管”的叫法，在大陆这种叫法不多见。即为白管、必是镀锌。但内涵模糊，有可能是热镀、也可能冷镀。

白铁皮制品镀锌铁的俗称。将干净的铁片浸在熔化的液体锌里而制得。锌虽然比较活泼，但在含有CO2的潮湿空气里能生成一层碱 式碳酸锌：  4Zn+2O2+3H2O+CO2→ZnCO3·3Zn(OH)2  这层碱式碳酸锌薄膜较紧密，可作保护膜，防止内部锌不再被继续氧化 。如果镀锌层一旦被破坏后，发生电化腐蚀时，由于锌比铁活泼，锌将作为原电池的负极发生氧化反应而损耗，铁受到保护。
The common name of galvanized iron for white iron products. It is made by immersing clean iron sheets in molten liquid zinc. Although zinc is more active, it can form a layer of basic zinc carbonate in humid air containing CO2: 4zn + 2O2 + 3H2O + CO2 → ZnCO3 · 3zn (OH) 2. This layer of basic zinc carbonate film is relatively close and can be used as a protective film to prevent the internal zinc from being further oxidized. If the galvanizing layer is damaged and electrochemical corrosion occurs, because zinc is more active than iron, zinc will be used as the anode of galvanic cell to produce oxidation reaction and loss, and iron will be protected.
